A ” Forest of Hope” will be blooming at the KDH Library

On November 21 – 23 add your well wishes to a “Forest of Hope” at the Kill Devil Hills Library.

A “Forest of Hope” is taking place at the Kill Devil Hills Public Library from Nov. 21-23. Artist Edith Deltgen’s art event done to raise awareness for people and their families who deal with the pain of facing cancer, mental health issues and drug addiction.

The  beautiful trees will be decorated with hundreds of fabric strips. Many will carry messages written by children, policemen, prison inmates, church members. Baskets with fabric and markers will be provided to express more thoughts during the display.

New this year is the option to put paper messages in clear recycled plastic water bottles as “messages in bottle clouds”!
