‘I wanna be like Lexus’

Lexus Meekins was honored by her cross-country team at Cape Hatteras Senior Night on Monday, October 21 during the Cape Hatteras Secondary School dual meet with Bear Grass Charter School at the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.

Lexus is a multi-sport athlete, a captain of the varsity cross-country team, she went to the states her sophomore year as a hurdler on the track team, and she is also a varsity basketball player. A model student, Lexus is completing her senior year with an internship at Munchkin Academy.

“Lexus is one of the kindest, compassionate, and most responsible teenagers you will ever meet. She has been a consistent leader for cross country all season, despite injury that has prevented her from running the second half of the season, ” said cross country head coach Kate Pullen.
