Baptist Disaster Relief Ministry closes Hatteras site

Feeding, support services continue on Ocracoke till Oct. 12

In a sign of the continued recovery from the impacts of Hurricane Dorian, the NC Baptist Men and Women Disaster Relief Ministry, which has provided invaluable assistance to those who suffered losses at the hands of the storm, posted this announcement on Sat. Sept. 28. “We have finished and closed the disaster sites at Hatteras and Atlantic. Feeding will continue on Ocracoke for two more weeks (Oct. 12). Laundry and shower, admin and other support will also continue on Ocracoke until Oct 12. We should finish all recovery work (mud outs, tear outs and chainsaw jobs) within the next few days. Thank you, all volunteers!
