Early morning power outage

About 7,000 Dominion Energy customers  in Colington, Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head woke up without power this morning due to a transmission line outage at the Colington substation. According to Dominion’s Samantha Moore, the company was investigating the cause of the outage at around 8: 30 a.m. Initially, 9,280 customers were impacted. Moore said it was unclear the exact cause or when power would be restored.
