Two weeks after a suspect was recorded on video during a break-in at the Handee Hugo in Kitty Hawk, a Henderson man has been arrested in Vance County.

Police have charged James Garrett Boggs of Henderson with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods in connection with the June 7 incident.

He is being held in lieu of $60,000, Kitty Hawk police reported.

“Thanks to the great folks at the Vance County Sheriff’s Office for apprehending Boggs,” the Police Department wrote on Facebook.

“We must also thank our followers for identifying Boggs. It takes a community, to protect a community. So if you see something then say something. We are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If you need us, we are here.”
