During the event, the Townebank Mortgage presented Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® (OBAR) with a $5,000 check for their Scholarship Fund.

“When David Joyner of Townebank Mortgage reached out to us and told us of this generous contribution, the entire staff was speechless. This is huge and will help many local high school seniors,” Said OBAR CEO, Willo Kelly. “TowneBank Mortgage is one of our Diamond Community Partners and has participated and supported our fundraising events for years. We truly appreciate the mortgage brokers and staff of Townebank Mortgage.”

2019 OBAR President Jean-Paul Peron of The Outer Banks Real Estate Company at eXp Realty-Corova echoed Kelly’s sentiments, “We are so honored that Townebank Mortgage chose to donate to our Scholarship Fund. In a community so many charitable opportunities I am humbled that they chose us.”

David Joyner, TowneBank Mortgage Officer, said “TowneBank Mortgage seeks to enhance the quality of life in the communities that we serve. We love supporting and giving back to our community through volunteerism and charitable donations. It is our hope to create a stronger, more prosperous community, which is a keystone in our philosophy.” Joyner continued, “We appreciate and enjoy the partnership we have with the Outer Bank Association of REALTORS®. OBAR’s commitment to advocacy, education, ethics, and giving back to the community matches Towne’s belief as well.”

Over the last 30 thirty years, the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® has awarded 139 high school seniors a total of $229,631 in scholarships. Said Joyner, “What better way to honor this commitment than to provide an opportunity for the youth of our community through a scholarship. After all, our youth represent the hopes and dreams of our community’s future. We are thrilled to make this donation of OBAR’s Scholarship Fund and help invest in a brighter tomorrow.”
