Suzanne Tate, author of the best-selling Children’s Nature Series, has just reached a new milestone.

Published last week, Tommy Tuna: Tale of A Big Fish, illustrated by James Melvin, marks number 40 in Tate’s series.

To celebrate, Downtown Books will be hosting Tate for a special First Friday book signing on Friday, May 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tate will be signing Tommy Tuna, along with any and all of the other 39 books in her series, from the original Crabby & Nabby to last year’s Merri-lee Monarch.

Generations of children have grown up reading Tate’s books, each one helping the reader learn about a multitude of seashore creatures and ocean dwellers.

For more details, or to pre-reserve your copy of Tommy Tuna, please call 252-473-1056 or visit manteoreads.com.
