College of The Albemarle (COA) will host the third scholarship fund-raising event to benefit Dare County students on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

The event, Eat•Drink•Educate, will be held at the COA’s Roanoke Island Campus, Professional Arts Building, 2015 N.C. 64 South, Manteo, NC.

Sponsored by Southern Bank and The Willey Agency, all proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Dare County Campus General Scholarship Fund.

Guests will be provided the opportunity to see a few of the programs at work, as there will be student demonstrations throughout the event.

Highlighted programs include, Jewelry, Pottery, Welding, HVAC, Drone Introduction, Hospitality and Tourism, and Culinary Arts.

Artwork, created by COA students, alumni, and instructors, will be on display in the gallery throughout the event. The display will feature artwork in the form of jewelry, sculptures, paintings, and pottery.

Scholarship funds raised at this event specifically aid COA students, who are Dare County residents with a financial need.

The goal for this year is to earn $10,000 in proceeds. This amount would provide $1,000 each for ten students in the upcoming academic year.

Funds raised from the past two Dare County events allowed for a total of ten scholarships to be awarded.

Tickets are available for $75 per person and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, champagne, wine, and beer.

Live music and a silent auction will round out the evening.
