Richard “Dickie” Anderson of Buxton, Dec. 1

On December 1, 2018, Richard “Dickie” Anderson, 70 of Buxton passed peacefully from this life surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.

Dickie served as a Merchant Seaman during the Vietnam War. His love of the sea and his wife brought him to Buxton, where he continued his life journey as a commercial fisherman, and then as a trawler boat fisherman up and down the eastern seaboard.

Dickie was also a master craftsman and carpenter, where he restored several historic homes on Hatteras Island. Dickie was a beautiful soul who touched the lives of so many people.

Dickie will be forever loved by his wife of 44 years, Carol Anderson, his daughter Robin, his daughter Rosia, his son-in-law Aron, and his granddaughter Elle Mae.

Please join us in celebrating Dickie’s life on Thursday, December 6th at 2:00pm at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 48060 NC 12, Buxton, NC, 27920. Following the Service, a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Anderson’s house, 48302 Highway 12, Buxton, NC, 27920.
