A Sunday afternoon fire in Kill Devil Hills left significant damage to a home on Cedar Drive, but no one was injured.
Fire crews were called to the scene at 3:52 p.m., arriving to find flames through the eaves.
The fire was contained to a bedroom on the second floor, but there was heat, smoke and water damage throughout the house, Kill Devil Hills Fire Marshal John L. Risoldi, Sr. said in a news release.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Officials on the scene said the homeowner had just completed repairs after damage from the remnants of Hurricane Michael.
