The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce recently recognized several local businesses as “OBXMADE,” a program designed to highlight and promote locally-crafted products.

The companies and products include Kelly’s Outer Banks Catering for local produce, local seafood and their sweet potato biscuits; Paul Mann Custom Boats, Inc. for custom sportfish yachts; Carolina Casual for poly-lumber furniture and Coastal Impressions for quality printing and design services.

Recognizing a company or product as OBXMADE allows consumers to easily recognize locally produced products, the chamber said in a news release.

How can anyone have Thanksgiving without Kelly’s homemade sweet tater biscuits – actually blew up my Kitchen Aid mixer in FL plugging it in to mix them. Grateful can still use the recipe and a little elbow grease to bake a “gracious plenty”…
