‘Creepy in Corolla’ returns to light station on Halloween night

The Currituck Beach Light Station, Whalehead in Historic Corolla and local residents invite kids and adults alike to the village from 6-8 p.m. to for the third annual “Creepy in Corolla” trunk-or-treat event.

Trick-or-treaters can visit the Currituck Beach Lighthouse to see if any lighthouse keepers of old are willing to share candy, walk among the curmudgeonly Corolla Trunk or Treaters for a spook and a surprise, cross the park’s decrepit, haunted bridge, or knock on the door of Whalehead to see if any 100-year-old treats remain inside. There will also be a hay ride to finish up with a final knock on the door of Mr. and Mrs. Knight’s Boathouse.

Residents, lovers of scary and businesses are invited to come with decorated vehicles and candy to spook children in the in the parking lots between the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education.

The Currituck Lighthouse will closed at 3:30 p.m. on Halloween to prepare for the event.
