Kitty Hawk Kites is donating $32,839 to aid in the cleanup and disaster relief for North Carolinians affected by Hurricane Florence.

Kitty Hawk Kites donated 5 percent of retail sales as of its stores reopening at full capacity after the hurricane, Sept. 18, through the end of the month. All collected proceeds will be split evenly and donated to both the American Red Cross, Eastern North Carolina Region, and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

Kitty Hawk Kites is continuing its efforts to fundraise through October for Hurricane Florence Relief efforts.

In partnership with Life is Good, “Carolina Strong” hurricane shirts were created to raise money for Hurricane Florence relief. All proceeds from these shirts will benefit relief efforts. The shirts are selling at $20 each, of which Kitty Hawk Kites will donate $12 per shirt sold, $6 per shirt to each aforementioned non-profit. Life is Good is also donating the cost of production amount to their chosen relief organization.

In addition, 100 percent of the Outer Banks Kayak Fishing Tournament registration fees will benefit both chosen organizations.
