JAM Media Solutions announces executive VPs of sales, finance

JAM Media Solutions LLC has named Donovan Welsh as executive vice president of sales and Kerry Porreca as executive vice president of Finance for its growing media company.

Donovan Welsh is a 30-year sales broadcast veteran from New York who was most recently with Entercom Communications as sales manager for Sports Radio 66 WFAN-AM.

Prior to that, Welsh was general sales manager for WFAN for seven years, a time period where the station achieved the highest revenues in its history.

Other work includes developing a sales team for K-Rock, WXRK-FM, which at the time was the broadcast home of the Howard Stern Show.

Welsh’s successful sales leadership experience spans across multiple formats that range from sports, classic and alternative rock, and Spanish language radio stations.

Kerry Porreca is a veteran of finance for the past 15 years and has spent the majority of her professional
career in the manufacturing and advertising areas.

Porreca will oversee routine accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll process, budgeting and forecasting.

“Mrs. Porreca is a veteran finance executive and has extensive knowledge of the Outer Banks,” Mason said. “She is uniquely positioned to help us achieve our goal of giving back to the communities we seek to serve.”

JAM Media Solutions closed on its media properties on Oct. 3, acquiring eight combined media properties on the Outer Banks and in Muscatine, Iowa.

The Outer Banks properties include four radio stations; 94.5 WCMS-FM, Beach 104 WCXL-FM, 99.1 The Sound WVOD-FM, Classic Rock 92.3 WZPR-FM, and an interest in an advertising sales entity with The Outer Banks Voice.

The Muscatine properties include two radio stations; KMCS-FM 93.1, KWPC-FM 95.1, and The Voice of Muscatine newspaper.
