Currituck OBX residents roll back in today; visitors Sunday

By on September 14, 2018

It looks more like the middle of January, not the middle of September, in Corolla Friday afternoon. (NCDOT)

Currituck County residents and property owners will be allowed access to Corolla and Carova on this morning, and visitors will likely be allowed to return on Sunday.

Alcohol sales have also been allowed to resume countywide.

The Corolla ABC store may be delayed in opening due to the travel restrictions being imposed by Dare County affecting ABC store employees.

Corolla residents are advised to call the ABC store at 252-453-9628 to check on its status.

Additional businesses in Corolla may also have employees affected by the travel restrictions.

Motorists will need a Currituck County re-entry pass or provide a driver’s license, tax bill, or utility bill with a county address to pass the road blocks in Dare County.

Only emergency vehicles or motorists with a Critical Needs Pass issued by Currituck Emergency Management or a Priority One Pass issued by Dare County Emergency Management are being allowed to enter on Friday.
