Two local premiers on tap for Logan Marshall’s latest film

Logan Marshall, the Manteo High School rising senior who won the 2017 Carolina Surf Filmmaker of the Year award for his short, “Limitless”, is set to debut his sophomore effort, “Outer”, on Sunday, July 15, at 3:00 p.m. at the Pioneer Theatre in Manteo in a private, invitation-only showing.

On July 17, a public premiere will be held at Outer Banks Boarding Co. at 8 p.m.

Marshall said his latest film was over a year in the making.

“This is a movie about surfing on the Outer Banks across all ages of surfers and all of the islands that make up the Outer Banks,” Marshall said.

“From teenage pro, Bo Raynor to gnarly Brett Barley and East Coast icon, Jesse Hines, you will see some incredible surfing showing the true story of what has happened through our surfing history on the Outer Banks, Marshall said.

“I was hoping to create an emotional, inspirational, high energy, cinematic masterpiece.”
