Prescribed burns scheduled for Nags Head Woods

Prescribed burns have been planned by the N.C. Forestry Service and The Nature Conservancy for Wednesday and Thursday in portions of Nags Head Woods.

If weather conditions cooperate, Wednesday’s burn will start between noon and 1 p.m., and Thursday’s fire will be ignited around 10 a.m. behind the Nags Head Acres neighborhood.
