The Nags Head Links Ladies are once again gearing up for another all women’s charity golf tournament. This year their 13th annual “Driving Fore the Cure” event will be held on Saturday, June 2, at the Nags Head Golf Links.

This is the largest women’s golf tournament on the Outer Banks with 132 players and 60 men and women volunteers. All funds will go for LOCAL Breast Cancer programs, including the NHGL Links Ladies Breast Cancer Fund through The Outer Banks Hospital’s Cancer Resource Center and The Outer Banks Relief Foundation.

“Everyone knows someone who has or has had Breast Cancer,” said Dr. Kathleen Brehony, one of the organizers of the event. “Did you know that 1 in 8 American women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer during her lifetime?”

The Links Ladies are seeking support in the form of sponsorships at varying levels, many of them honoring the lives of ladies who have beat the disease. They are also accepting items for our popular Silent Auction and raffle. Tax deductible sponsorships can also be made in memory of loved ones who lost their battle.

To find out how you can become a part of these community programs and at the same time honorour Breast Cancer warrior, you may contact Dr. Brehony at Sponsor information is also available at the Pro Shop at the Nags Head Golf Links.
