Cancer foundation rolls out red carpet for dance Saturday

By on April 19, 2018

The Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation’s 18th annual Spring Dance fundraiser will be held from 6 p.m. until midnight Saturday, April 21, at the Hatteras Village Civic Center.

This year’s theme is “Night at the Movies,” premiering in Hatteras Village for one night only, and everyone is invited to the show. The cancer foundation will roll out the red carpet and celebrate all things film.

Come dressed to kill as your favorite movie characters, individually or as part of a group, and be ready to perform your best dance moves to the musical styling of Trainwreck.

Not into dressing up? No problem. Dress however you’re comfortable for a fun night of dancing.

Heavy hor d’oeuvres, desserts, and other “movie” snacks will be served. Beer, wine and set-ups will be provided, along with water and other refreshments. Must be 21 to attend.

Tickets are $50 and can be purchased from Hatteras Realty Offices in Avon and Hatteras, as well as from board members.

Island Hopper Taxi will be offering complimentary taxi service to all dance guests. For a ride, call (252) 995-6771. The ride is free, but tips are welcomed.

The HICF is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. All proceeds assist Hatteras Island cancer patients with medical bills not covered by insurance and for travel expenses for treatment.
