The Dare County High School Art Show has returned to Roanoke Island Festival Park and will run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Event Room until April 27.

The public is invited to take in the talented work of students from Manteo High School, First Flight High School and Cape Hatteras Secondary School at the free event.

The closing reception and awards ceremony will take place Sunday, April 29 from 5 to 7 p.m.

“Year after year, we are amazed by the talent and creativity of our local high school students. Their advanced skill level is a testament to the wonderful art teachers we have in Dare County,” said Kim Sawyer, Festival Park’s executive director.

The Event Room is lined with a vibrant array of artistic mediums, including mixed media, paintings, graphic design, drawings, photography and sculptures.

The annual show gives students an opportunity to test and showcase the new techniques they have learned throughout the year. This year promises to be another memorable and inspiring show. For more information, contact (252) 475-1500 or visit roanokeisland.com.
