The Island Art Shows, an annual Hatteras Island series, has announced its 2018 schedule of shows.

Each event hosts more 20 local Outer Banks artists and crafters who will be showing and selling their work —

Admission to the events are free, allowing attendees to spend their dollars supporting the local artisans as well as local charities.

Each Island Art Show is also a benefit for a different local cause. Some of the beneficiaries have included the Outer Banks SPCA, the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Civic Association, Hatteras Island Meals and more.

With the help of artist booth fees, the event organizers are happy to give back to the community that has given so much to the community.

There will be various live local music acts at each Island Art Show, along with Live Art Happenings, Paint a Shake with Chicamacomico Lifesaving Station and more.

All shows open at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m.
