First Bank has announced that Charles Kearns Lowman has been named to its Kill Devil Hills advisory board.

Lowman, who has been a certified public accountant (CPA) for over 25 years, is an owner of Burgess Lowman and Lay PA in Kitty Hawk. He is past president of the Nags Head Surf Fishing Club, treasurer of the First Flight Rotary Club and a past member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants peer review executive committee.

Lowman is an alumnus of Elon College.

“We’re delighted to have Kearns join our First Bank Advisory Board,” said Kenneth Marshall, senior vice president and city executive.

“With his over 20 years of service in the market, he clearly understands what it takes to live and operate a business here in the Outer Banks. His experience as a CPA and his knowledge of our local economy qualifies him as an excellent choice for this advisory role. He’ll be a valuable resource for First Bank as we continue to grow and serve this great community.”
