Dare commissioners pass new resolution against drilling

The Board of Commissioners has passed a resolution reiterating Dare County’s opposition to offshore oil drilling and seismic testing.

Chairman Bob Woodard updated the board on a meeting with Interior Sec. Ryan Zinke, and other local and state leaders.

The county has also released a letter that Woodard sent Thursday to a federal and state elected officials:

» N.C. House Speaker Tim Moore
» N.C. Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger
» N.C. Sen. Bill Cook
» N.C. Rep. Beverly Boswell
