Tommie Davis Daniels of Wanchese, Jan. 31

Tommie Davis Daniels, 83, of Wanchese, NC died Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Peak Resources – Outer Banks. A native of Wanchese, he was the son of the late Gladys Richardson Daniels and Ruford Anderson Daniels.

A United States Army veteran, Tommie served his country honorably for nine years and 10 months. He was also a recipient of The Order of the Long Leaf Pine award.

Tommie is survived by his wife, Edna Midgett Daniels; five children, Cindy Daniels of Nags Head, NC, Denise Daniels of Raleigh, NC, Kevin Daniels (Karla) of Anderson, SC, Yoyo Daniels of Wanchese, NC, and William Daniels of Wanchese, NC; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Reba Conrad of Tega Cay, SC and Laura Paul of Winterville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Tommie was preceded in death by four siblings, Thelma Baum, Viola Luke, Robert Daniels, and Dennie Daniels.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Twiford Colony Chapel with Pastor Kenny Midgett officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
