Seaside Art Gallery took a hit from Hurricane Matthew.

Seaside Art Gallery in Nags Head recently celebrated its completed restoration following Hurricane Matthew with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce.

“We’re grateful to our amazing community, patrons, and friends near and far who helped make this all possible,” said Melanie Smith, gallery owner.

“With the final stage of restoration completed, the gallery is celebrating its 57th year with even bigger and better things, including art classes, receptions and new art events,” she added.

Seaside Art Gallery is one of the largest private galleries in the Southeast, according to a press release from the Outer Banks Chamber. The gallery represents artists from North Carolina, the United States, and around the world.

You may visit the gallery at 2716 South Virginia Dare Trail in Nags Head, or browse the work of more than 200 artists at Seaside Art.

The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce is an advocate for business on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. A regional organization, the Outer Banks Chamber serves Dare County, Currituck County and Ocracoke Island. There are currently more than 1,065 members.
