Sherri Lassiter, licensed practical nurse at Outer Banks ENT, is The Outer Banks Hospital’s November 2017 Employee of the Month.

She has been a licensed practical nurse in the ear, nose and throat specialty for more than 20 years. In 2008, Lassiter joined the practice of Dr. Anthony Jackson, an ENT-otolaryngologist in Kitty Hawk. In 2015, she joined The Outer Banks Hospital and The Outer Banks Medical Group.

Lassiter’s peers say she is known for her wealth of ENT nursing knowledge and experience. She has helped lead her team through a new service line for the community, changes and improvements to the electronic medical record system, and incorporating best-practice initiatives.

Her co-workers agree that she goes above and beyond to help her patients and colleagues, giving 100 percent every day, with integrity and an evident love of her job and patients.

“I feel very honored to have been chosen as Employee of the Month. I am thankful every day for the opportunity to work for The Outer Banks Hospital,” Lassiter said.

“On a more personal level, I am especially grateful for my work family at The Outer Banks Medical Group ENT office. It is a great feeling to know you are working together as a team and making a difference in the lives of many,” she added.
