Lois Evans Jackson of Nags Head, Nov. 11

Lois Evans Jackson, 71, of Nags Head, NC, formerly of Elizabeth City, NC, died Saturday, November 11, 2017, at her home. Born in Carteret County on August 11, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Ferrell Evans and Roy Evans.

Lois’ favorite times were spent on the beach with friends fishing, tanning, and searching for collectible beach glass. She was a member of the NC Beach Buggy Association, Nags Head Surf Fishing Club and a founding member of the Raisin Rods Surf Fishing Team. She will be fondly remembered for her famous pickles and fruit cake cookies.

Lois is survived by her husband of 42 years, James Lory Jackson, Jr.; close friends, Bobby and Diane James; a sister-in-law, Aleene Davis and many friends.


A celebration of her life with everyone’s toes in the sand will be held in the spring.
