Dogs are invited to celebrate grand opening of new park

Dogs of all sizes but with gentle dispositions are invited to bring their humans to the official opening of Nags Head’s new dog park on Saturday, Nov. 18.

The party, which will include free doggie treats and other giveaways, runs from 10 a.m to noon at 227 West Satterfield Landing Road. The dog park is located on the Dare County Recreation Park property.

McGruff the Crime Dog will be on hand as well as representatives from Gallery Row Animal Hospital and PetSmart.


The Outer Banks SPCA will bring adoptable dogs to the event.
