Neil R. Madvay, 80, of Frisco, NC, formerly of Woodstown, NJ, died Monday, October 30, 2017, at his home. Born in Salem County, NJ on April 15, 1937, he was the son of the late Edna Mae Turner Madvay and Louis K. Madvay.
A graduate of Salem High School, he attended Salem County Community College. Neil served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 until 1958. He then worked at DuPont Chambers Works in Deepwater, NJ.
An avid sportsman, Neil was a member of the Cape Hatteras Anglers Club, Outer Banks Gun Club, Salem County Sportsmen’s Club and the Quinton Sportsmen’s Club. He was also a private pilot.
Neil is survived by his wife, Kathryn Madvay; three daughters, Linda A. Samuels (Mannie) of PA, Debra K. Townsend (Rob) of NJ, and Donna L. Madvay of NJ; a son, Jonathan Madvay (Karissa) of AR; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Neil was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald L. Madvay.
In keeping with Neil’s wishes, the family will hold a private service. Memorial donations may be made to the Cape Hatteras Anglers Club, PO Box 145, Buxton, NC 27920 or the Outer Banks Gun Club, PO Box 118, Manns Harbor, NC 27953.

Peter relocated to the Outer Banks in 1994 to enjoy his retirement. Peter met and married Sallie, while driving school buses together. Locally, Peter worked at Sea Scape Beach and Golf Villas as director of security.
Dorothy Dressel, 82, left this world on April 19, 2018 and is in heaven with our Lord.

Tracy Leo Abbott, 40, of Wanchese, NC died unexpectedly, Monday, April 16, 2018. He was an avid commercial fisherman, handyman, and a provider to anyone in need of help.
