Elaine Ramsey is hospital’s Employee of the Month

Elaine Ramsey, a radiology tech at Nags Head Urgent Care, is The Outer Banks Hospital’s September 2017 Employee of the Month.

Ramsey joined the hospital in May, 2016.

Ramsey is extremely knowledgeable in her role with Urgent Care and is the personification of teamwork. She goes out of her way to recognize the needs of others and anticipates what she can do to ease patient flow.


Aside from her radiology/lab responsibilities, she is ready to pitch in anywhere from the front desk to cleaning up the kitchen, with a positive attitude, wonderful smile and words of encouragement, according to a press release from The Outer Banks Hospital.

Ramsey cares for patients in a calm and reassuring manner. She is the positive, motivating office “Mom” who keeps morale high and remembers each team member’s special days. Ramsey is a marvelous part of the Urgent Care team in Nags Head and staff celebrates her excellence in representing the values of The Outer Banks Hospital, the press release stated.

“I am honored and appreciative to be recognized by my colleagues at The Outer Banks Hospital Urgent Care Nags Head,” said Ramsey. “They truly surprised me. We all work very hard and care very much for our patients. I enjoy giving back to my co-workers; they deserve it.”
