Powdery, crunchy Praline Cookies

By on December 24, 2012

On the 11th day of my Christmas baking Rosiethon, I made powdery, crunchy, nutty Praline Cookies.

Praline Cookies
1 stick unsalted butter
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 ½ cups flour
2 tsp vanilla
1 ½ cups chopped pecans
Powdered sugar

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Melt butter.
Add sugars, egg, flour, and vanilla.
Stir to mix well.
Add pecans.
Drop dough onto lightly greased baking sheet. I used a melon baller for this.
Bake 12-15 minutes.
Let stand 2 minutes before removing from pan.
Transfer to rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
