The New Jersey vacationer who saved the life of a 3-year-old boy Aug. 2 on the beach in Kill Devil Hills talked with Sam Walker about the experience.Michael Garrigues gave the boy CPR after his aunt found him not breathing. A wave had apparently washed over him as he played on the beach.
No one here seemed to know who the rescuer was. Garrigues contacted the Voice when he returned to New Jersey over the weekend.
