Major fire in Corolla consumes one building, others involved

Numerous fire departments battled a huge fire that destroyed the Brindley Building in Corolla Friday night.

Scanner traffic indicated that several buildings were involved. WTKR reported that besides the building that houses Brindley Beach Vacations & Sales, two other houses had caught fire.

Crews were being to Corolla Drive, which is a block east of N.C. 12. The Brindley office is on N.C. 12, also known as Ocean Trail.

A brush fire was also reported.

Renters in Corolla have been asked to check in at Brindley’s Duck office at 1213 Duck Road (N.C. 12).

The company posted this on its facebook page this morning:

“Yesterday was a rough one. Everyone is safe, and we are open for business. We look forward to your call and helping you plan your Outer Banks vacation! Thank you for all the prayers and thoughts.”
