Authorities have charged four people in connection with a drug bust Thursday afternoon at a motel room in Jarvisburg.
Undercover agents began making controlled buys from the motel room after being tipped off earlier this month about drug sales taking place at the motel on North River Drive, according to Currituck Sheriff Susan Johnson.
The Currituck Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and narcotics unit conducted the raid Thursday at 2:50 p.m., and found four people in the room, along with approximately 20 grams of cocaine, an unspecified amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Rashawn Lamont Anthony, 21, of Edenton was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, maintain a place for controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was being held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
Christin Stroud of Engelhard was arrested Friday and charged with conspiring to sell or deliver cocaine, conspiring to sell or deliver schedule I controlled substance, and felony maintain a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance.
Stroud’s age, bond information and booking photo were not immediately available.
Garrett Drew White, 20, of Nags Head faces a count of buying or selling a vehicle with no license, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $2,000.
Investigators allege White exchanged a flat screen TV, which had the serial number removed, for two small bags of heroin.
Jammie Leigh Marquis, 24, of Colington was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $500.
