KDH man arrested on drug charges in Currituck

A joint investigation led to the arrest Wednesday of a Kill Devil Hills man in Currituck County on multiple drug-related counts.

Michael Keith Jackson, 44, was apprehended after his vehicle was located in Grandy around 1 p.m., according to Currituck Sheriff’s Office administrative assistant Lindsey Voorhees.

Jackson was initially charged with trafficking cocaine/opium/heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a place for controlled substances.

Following his arrival at the Currituck Detention Center, Jackson was then booked on charges issued in Dare County, including possession with intent to sell or distribute cocaine, possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, possession of a scheduled VI controlled substance and maintaining a place for controlled substances.

Jackson remained at the Currituck Detention Center on Thursday in lieu of a combined $18,000 bond, according to Voorhees.

why don’t these druggies go somewhere else besides our wonderful sandbar? They all need to go away. Drugs are the ruination of our country and people like him are the scum that perpetuates the “business”. Good job Drug Task Force again!!!
