Narcotics investigations lead to six arrests

Drug investigations have led to the arrests of six people on various drug charges.

On Monday, deputies arrested a Buxton man on an outstanding narcotics warrant, the Dare County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine was Jeffrey Ray Kiefer, 24. He was released on $5,000 bond.

The arrest was part of continuing investigations on Hatteras Island.

On May 29, the Sheriff’s Office served outstanding warrants on two people:

• Michael Dale Quidley Jr., 27, of Buxton on charges of possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule ll oxycodone and conspiring to sell or deliver schedule ll oxycodone. He was released on $1,500. bond.

• Brooke Erin Vestal, 28, Buxton on the same charges. She was also released on $1,500 bond.

Another warrant was served June 3 on Holly Christine Marcus , 32, of Frisco. The charge was possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule III controlled substance, buprenorphine. She was released on $1,500 Bond

In a separate case, sheriff’s investigators worked with the Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head police departments on an investigation into narcotics activity in Kill Devil Hills. Two arrests were made May 31.

Cornelius Alonzo Simmons, 35, of Elizabeth City was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine and habitual felon.

A warrant from an April drug roundup led to additional charges. He was being held in the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Lativia Tanesha Allen, 29, of Elizabeth City was charged with conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine and was released on $2,500 bond.
