Three women arrested on cocaine charges

Three women have been arrested on cocaine charges after a traffic stop by police on Roanoke Island.

Dare County deputies and officers with the Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head police departments made the stop on Bowsertown Road Feb. 1 as part of a narcotics investigation, according to a Sheriff’s Office statement.

Megan Lynne Gallop, 27, Torrie Lee Saunders, 33, both of Old Church Road in Wanchese, and Paula Bocanegra Gomez, 26, of Caratoke Highway in Powells Point were charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, conspiring to sell or deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They were released on $20,000 bond each.
