Tax help to be offered at the Baum Center
Free income tax assistance is available for low- to moderate-income taxpayers of any age through the AARP-sponsored tax aide program administered by Dare County Older Adult Services at the Baum Center in Kill Devil Hills.
Trained aides provide assistance and electronic filing of federal and state tax returns for individuals (no complex business tax assistance) on an appointment basis from Jan. 31 through April 5.
Appointments are required and may be scheduled with Mary Jernigan at the Baum Center in person or by phone at (252) 475-5637. Limited appointments are available, so advance scheduling is recommended.
