Christmas parade in Currituck set for Dec. 1

The Currituck Cooperative Extension, in conjunction with the Currituck County Sheriff’s Department and the Currituck County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #89, will be sponsoring the 21st Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday Dec. 1 beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The theme for this year’s parade is ‘Old Christmas’.

The parade will begin on Airport Road, travel along U.S. 158 east, before turning onto Aviation Pkwy., and finish in front of the Currituck Extension Center.

After the parade, the 60th annual Currituck Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place, and include a visit with Santa and cookies and punch.

The rain date for the parade and tree lighting will be Saturday, Dec. 8.
