An episode of “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives” taped this summer at a local restaurant will air the first week of November.

The Food Network show, starring Guy Fieri, will feature the Outer Banks Brewing Station in an episode that will first air on Monday, Nov. 5 at 10 p.m.

“This trip, Guy’s grubbin’ at some popular hangouts…in Kill Devil Hills, N.C., the brewing station serving righteous shrimp and grits alongside craft made beers,” reads the summary of the episode entitled Pubs and Grub.

According to the Food Network website, the episode will run four additional times in November.

There is no word yet on air dates for other episodes featuring area eateries that Fieri visited in July.

I didn’t think the Brewing Station was a diner! It sure ain’t a drive-in. Guess they think it’s a dive.

Not all show titles need to be taken so literally. They’ve featured many establishments that are not exactly fitting. But as you can tell by the name of the episode, they are stepping out of that a bit… Just sayin…

My thoughts exactly local guy. I love the Brewing Station but it does not fit the theme at all! They never got a dolphin boat and milkshake at John’s, a true drive in…

I’m happy that they’re going to air a local restaurant, no matter which one it is, soon as it can only help all of us during the off-season to receive that kind of press! Great job, all involved!

I really can’t believe he didn’t stop at the Kill Devil Grill. Best wings on the planet.

Rumor was there were other local places (John’s being one of them) that declined being part of the show bc they would have had to close down for the day during peak season in order to film.
