Those turtles also caused the change back to 4 day a week, nights only, special gear rules in the Croatan/Roanoke Sounds, right at the start of the traditional flounder run through those waters. Now,wine is to be sold to benefit the Karen Beasley Turtle Rehab.Center and the N.E.S.T. organization in Manteo. Most of the turtle problem is outside our border, our southern neighbors and Carib.island nations eat the eggs, turtle meat, and even squash thousands of nests with government machines, just to save buildings from erosion(VA.Pilot Online).Use the wine proceeds where the are needed,to educate the third world nations, not to bankrupt our commercial fishermen.
