Parade of Homes: Personal touches
Directions: 105 Bonnie Lane, Village at Nags Head, Nags Head
Return to the intersection of U.S. 158 and continue straight across the intersection, which becomes West Seachase Drive. Take the second right on South Links Drive (the first right is also South Links Drive) and then an immediate left on West Bonnie Lane. The house is on the left at #105.
Description: Ron and Connie Burke’s home in the Village at Nags Head was a special treat to build, because, as we soon discovered, Connie had a unique vision for this year-round home and gradually made believers of us all.
Wonderful touches abound from the interior columns separating the dining area and great room to the mirrored backsplash in the kitchen. Beautifully decorated, the home features a stunning kitchen with granite countertops and a Sepal mahogany island countertop.
There are hardwood floors upstairs and down, a rear deck and balcony overlooking the sound, ceramic tile baths, built-in cabinets flanking the great room fireplace and in the upstairs den/office surrounded by wainscoting.
Chair rail and crown moldings are found throughout. The home captures some wonderful sound views across the 17th fairway at the Nags Head Links.
It is a 5-Star Plus ENERGY STAR certified home with a HERS rating of 60.
Approximate heated square feet: 2,627
$455,000, house Only
