Parade of Homes: Enjoy the view
The Outer Banks Homebuilders Association “Parade of Homes” is just around the corner.
This year’s event will feature 21 homes from Corolla to Nags Head in price ranges to fit virtually any budget.
The event is sponsored annually by the association and attracts locals and visitors interested in owning rental and second homes on the Outer Banks.
The Parade starts on Thursday, Oct. 4 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 7. This coincides with the long Columbus Day weekend, making the event even more convenient for those who might want to plan a fall vacation while shopping for homes. And yes, the water is still warm in early October, so bring your bathing suits.
With local real estate prices and interest rates on mortgage loans at an all-time low, this year’s event might be one of the most promising for potential buyers of real estate along the Outer Banks in over a decade.
In addition to shopping for homes, visitors can also view the latest trends in interior design, furnishings, décor, appliances and other amenities. In most cases, the local vendors who supply those add-ons are identified in each home and can be contacted.
Tickets to the event are $10 and cover all days and all homes. More information can be obtained from http://www.obhomebuilders.org/obhba-parade-of-homes-2012.html.
The Voice will be featuring one or two Parade homes until the first day of the event.
