Foul play ruled out in Grandy man’s drowning

Investigators say the drowning of a Currituck County man last week is not being considered suspicious.

The body of Jeremy Orlando Lindsey, 25, of Grandy was discovered Thursday in a canal off Teal Court in the Waterview Shores neighborhood.

“The cause of death is still pending as we are running further toxicology tests, but we are not investigating it as a criminal matter,” said Lindsay Vorhees, Currituck County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson.

“We have ruled out foul play at this time,” Vorhees said.
