One night only: Tim Reynolds

| August 9, 2012

Tim Reynolds and TR3 play their only North Carolina show for this summer Saturday night at Port O’ Call in Kill Devil Hills.

Skilled songsmith and multi-instrumentalist Reynolds, who is currently lead guitarist for the Dave Matthews Band, moved to the Outer Banks in 2007.

TR3 came together after a mutual friend introduced Tim to local drum ace Dan Martier, who brought bassist Mick Vaughan to the early jams. Martier and Vaughan are involved in several other local and regional music projects, together and individually.

Crowds for TR3 shows have been growing, in part because of Reynolds’ association with Dave Matthews, but also based on his incredible guitar work, and the well honed chemistry of the trio. The TR3 fan base also got a boost after the band played all four Dave Matthews Band Caravan festivals, held in various U.S. locations last summer.

Tim Reynolds has spent much of this summer on tour with the Dave Matthews Band, and will join the band for their Farm Aid show in September in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Tim Reynolds and TR3 appeal to fans of Jam Bands, power trios and straight ahead rock and roll, as well as those who appreciate skilled musicianship.

Port O’ Call is at Milepost 8.5 on the Beach Road in Kill Devil Hills. Doors open at nine, and the music should start by 10 p.m.
