Southeast N.C. leaders discuss plastic bag ban

Leaders of beach communities in the Wilmington-area met this week to talk about banning smoking along the beachfronts of three towns, and about enacting a ban on plastic shopping bags like the one in place on the Outer Banks.

    Ban smoking on the beaches? That’s what I’m talking about! I get sick and tired of breathing someones second hand smoke when I’m downwind of them. Also, their cig butts make a mess on the beach. They should be cited for littering.

    The plastic bag ban is not working, (glad of it) I could care less if someone smokes on the beach ITS NUN OF MY BIZ, just keep up with the butts, IAm sure theyll ban beer next!! Did any one see the POOP slick of of clark street, All the beehive renters were swimming in it! Thats what we should be worried ABOUT! YOU COULD SEE IT & SMELL IT!!
