Summerfield reportedly spotted in Columbus

Nathan Summerfield, wanted on a charge of murder in the death of a woman whose body was found in Frisco, has been seen in Columbus, Ohio, television stations there report.

ABC 6 News and 10TV.com reported Tuesday night that Summerfield’s Honda was seen in a parking space at an apartment complex on the east side of Columbus.

WTTE Fox 28 and other stations reported that a witness told police that she saw a man who appeared to be Summerfield trying to switch license plates on a 2009 Honda Civic. The man and the car were gone after the witnessed called 911.

Lynn Jackenheimer was strangled and stabbed, Dare County Sheriff Doug Doughtie said Tuesday. Her body was put in a plastic bag and dumped in tall grass off of a cul-de-sac.
