Break-in at fourth medical office is reported
For the fourth time since the end of May, a medical office in Nags Head has been broken into.
The latest was reported last Tuesday at Outer Banks Eye Care on West Seachase Drive, and happened sometime between Monday evening and the following morning.
Three other offices were broken into between May 31st and June 8th, with cash and checks taken from all three.
Cash was missing after a break-in at Outer Banks Urgent Care June 1, Police Chief Kevin Brinkley said. The break-in was similar to two others at medical offices where cash and checks were taken.
A glass door was broken sometime between 6:30 p.m. May 31 and 6:30 a.m. June 1 at the urgent care center in the 4900 block of South Croatan Highway, Brinkley said.
A break-in at another medical office was reported June 4. Sometime between June 1 and June 4, a window was broken at Surf Pediatrics on East Dune Street. Cash and personal checks were taken.
The third happened between May 31 and June 1, when a window was broken at a dentistry office at 2917 S. Croatan Hwy. Cash was taken in that incident.
No drugs were taken in any of the incidents, Brinkley said.
