The state House gave final approval Monday to a bill that would delay for a year toll increases and additions on ferry routes and cap the state sales tax on gasoline.

The measure, which passed its third reading in the House by a vote of 103-0, would put off the fare increases until July 2013 at the earliest.

They were part of last year’s state budget but had been blocked in February by an executive order from Governor Beverly Perdue.

The bill also caps the state gas tax at 37 1/2 cents a gallon through the end of next June.

The bill now moves to the Senate, which will also take up a House-approved budget for the fiscal year starting July 1 that includes a delay of the ferry toll package.
