Police looking for leads on counterfeit $50 bill
Rob Morris | March 9, 2011
Kitty Hawk police are trying to find the source of a counterfeit $50 bill that turned up at an ABC store last month.
The bill was last used by a woman buying a bottle of Patron tequila Feb. 14 at about 3:45 p.m., according to Det. Brian Strickland.
Strickland described the woman as white, in her mid-40s with blonde hair and a slender build. She was wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans and dark rim glasses, he said, and she was a passenger in a dark blue or black late model Pontiac or Buick that had a license plate on the front with Engelhard in red letters.
